Kamm's Corners Greek Festival
Enjoy the rich culture of the Greek Island of Crete during our annual Greek Festival at Kamm's Corners on Labor Day Weekend, Friday, August 31st through Sunday, September 1st from 11 a.m. - 11 p.m. and Monday, September 2nd from 11 a.m. - 9 p.m. There will be great food, including spit-roasted lamb, beverages and pastries! The festival will feature live entertainment each night beginning at 6 pm until closing.
Lorain County Labor Day Celebration
On September 1st back by popular demand - Lorain County's Organized Annual Labor Day Family Celebration hosted by participating labor unions in conjunction with the Lorain County Labor Agency and the Lorain Port Authority. There will be a Car Show on the south lawn that is open to the public. Participating unions will give away free pencils, pens, keychains, balloons and other trinkets for guests and their children. There will be numerous rides and activities for children including free face painting, and pony rides by Gottfried Ponies. The festival is located at Black River Landing in Lorain.
Oktoberfest
Cleveland has become a destination known for beer and it makes sense that the city has a festival celebrating this popular beverage. The Cleveland Oktoberfest turns into a one-stop-shop and a chance to sample the best German and Polish food around. Pierogi, potato pancakes and sausages of every kind are offered from almost every local restaurant that embraces the region's Eastern European roots. Oktoberfest keeps the party going all Labor Day weekend at the Cuyahoga County Fairgrounds from August 29th until September 2nd.
The Lakewood Community Festival
On September 7th, stop by the Lakewood Community Festival. There will be craft and game booths, kid's games, fun activities, bounce houses, delicious food and more. The Lakewood Community Festival is a celebration of family, community and cultural heritage. The festival, sponsored by the Lakewood Community Festival, Inc. and the City of Lakewood, is traditionally the last event of the summer. The Lakewood Community Festival is held at Madison Park, every September on the first Saturday after Labor Day.
