The official start of summer is June 21st this year, but the heat of summer starts with a beach party at Edgewater Live every Thursday night featuring a Happy Hour concert! This began on May 30th and runs through August 1st.
If you are looking for a family-friendly event, stop by Crocker Park in Westlake and enjoy a Movie In The Park starting at dusk! Movies include popular family favorites such as classic Disney movies and films that your entire family will enjoy.
Beginning on June 20th – July 28th the popular Asian Lantern Festival will return to The Cleveland Metroparks Zoo. The festival features more than 40 displays and live performances! Another summertime staple in Cleveland is the Tri-C Jazz Fest at Playhouse Square. The Tri-C Jazz Fest is a celebration of Cleveland's contribution to Jazz over the decades. The festival begins on June 27, 2019.
With the 4th of July approaching, celebrate our nation's independence with Light Up the Lake Fireworks in downtown Cleveland. This is a free event where everyone can observe the fireworks and participate in the celebrating Independence Day. Baseball is a favorited pastime in Cleveland, and Indian's fans share the same hometown pride that every sports fan has for their team. This year we are hosting the 90th Major League Baseball game at Progressive Field. The festivities run from July 5th – July 9th.
As summer concludes, enjoy The Taste of Tremont and sample some of the best offerings from restaurants on the west side of Cleveland. Local restaurants will have a booth set up with tasty treats to appreciate. On August 31st – September 2nd the Cleveland National Air Show at Burke Lakefront Airport showcases a variety of airplanes and stunts that will amaze everyone in your family. Summertime in Cleveland is very exciting and never falls short of activities for date-night or an activity for your entire family. After all, there are 91 days of summer. It is best to take advantage of the sunshine and warm temperatures.
