Memorial Day weekend is here! While we are thrilled to celebrate the long weekend off work, we are also ready to honor those who died in active military service. The Reddy Group remembers and respects our fallen, active, and retired military members. Thank you for your service and giving us the freedoms we know and enjoy today.
If you are looking for services and parades to attend in Westlake and the surrounding areas, you're in luck! Here are several that will be taking place:
Westlake
The annual Memorial Day parade, hosted by the Westlake Kiwanis, begins at 10 a.m. Monday, May 27, from the parking lot of Sts. Peter and George Coptic Orthodox Church on Hilliard Boulevard and moves east to Clague Park.
Bay Village
The annual Memorial Day parade will step off at about 8:45 a.m. Monday, May 27, from Huntington Park on Lake Road. The parade marches west on Lake Road to the Lakeview Cemetery for a commemoration service and recognition of city founders.
Rocky River
Beginning at 7 p.m. Sunday at Rocky River City Hall Park, the Rocky River High School Jazz Band will be performing to kick off of the Summer Concert Series. On Monday, the Memorial Day parade will step off from Rocky River High School on Detroit Road at 10 a.m.
Avon & Avon Lake
The Avon Memorial Day parade, coordinated by VFW Post 7035, begins at 9 a.m. Monday, May 27, at the senior center. The parade will begin at Avon Lake High School at 10 a.m.
